Angola Shipping Notes for Exporters, Importers and Forwarders
Essential Angola shipping requirements: CNCA certificate, DU document, and port clearance procedures.
Shipping to Angola requires careful attention to documentation. The CNCA (Certificado Nacional de Conhecimento de Carga) is mandatory for all maritime imports.
For exporters: Obtain the CNCA before vessel departure. Angola requires the original hard copy – GetCTN ships it via DHL/FedEx to your consignee. Ensure your Commercial Invoice has correct FOB value, HS codes, and country of origin.
For importers: Coordinate with your shipper to ensure the CNCA is validated and the original received before cargo arrival. Delays in documentation cause demurrage and storage charges.
For forwarders: The DU (Documento Unico) may be required for certain shipments. Verify with the Angolan authorities or GetCTN. All documents must match the Bill of Lading exactly.
