BESC Certificate Now Required for Transit Cargo – Cameroon

2 January 2026

Cameroon now requires BESC certificate for transit cargo as well as direct imports.

Cameroon has updated its BESC (Bordereau Electronique de Suivi des Cargaisons) requirements. The BESC certificate is now mandatory for transit cargo in addition to direct imports to Douala and Kribi ports.

This affects shipments transiting through Cameroon to landlocked neighbours such as Chad and the Central African Republic. Ensure all transit cargo has the required BESC certificate before departure.
