Chad ECTN Procedure

11 November 2020

Chad ECTN requirements for landlocked shipments. Transit through Cameroon, Nigeria, or other ports.

Chad is landlocked and requires ECTN for all imports. Cargo typically transits through Douala (Cameroon), Lagos (Nigeria), or Port Sudan.

Procedure: Identify your transit port. Obtain the ECTN from an authorized agent. The certificate must be validated before the vessel departs from the loading port. Ensure your Bill of Lading shows the full route including transit.

Documents: Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading, Freight Invoice, Packing List. Transit countries (e.g. Cameroon) may require their own certificate (BESC) in addition to Chad ECTN.

GetCTN processes Chad ECTN. We can advise on multi-country transit requirements.
