9 August 2021

Algeria ECTN requirements and trade documentation for shipments to Algerian ports.

Algeria requires ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) for maritime imports. Shippers and forwarders must obtain the certificate before vessel departure.

Required documents: Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading, Freight Invoice, Packing List. Ensure all details match across documents. Incoterms (FOB, CFR, CIF) must be clearly stated.

Ports: Major Algerian ports include Algiers, Oran, Annaba, and Skikda. The ECTN must be validated before cargo arrival for customs clearance.

Timing: Apply at least 72 hours before vessel departure when possible. Late applications risk rejection or delays. GetCTN assists with Algeria ECTN processing.
