Libya has made ECTN mandatory for maritime imports. Updated requirements for Tripoli and other ports.
The Libya Customs Authority has confirmed that ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) is mandatory for maritime imports. Shippers must obtain the certificate before vessel departure.
Ports affected: Tripoli, Benghazi, Misrata, and other Libyan ports. The ECTN must be validated and submitted for customs clearance.
Documents required: Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading, Freight Invoice, Packing List. Ensure accuracy – discrepancies can cause delays.
