Nigeria CTN Requirements

11 November 2020

Nigeria ICTN (Cargo Tracking Note) requirements: purpose, documents, and how to apply.

Nigeria requires the ICTN (International Cargo Tracking Note) or CTN for maritime imports. The system supports security, port management, and fights under-declaration of goods.

Purpose: Reduce unlawful goods, improve port traffic management, and combat under-declaration (reportedly up to 80% of imports were under-declared). The Pre-Arrival Assessment Regime (PAAR) uses CTN data to evaluate declared values.

How to apply: Submit Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading, Freight Invoice, Packing List to GetCTN. We verify documents and generate the CTN. Nigerian Customs validates the application. Once approved, you receive the certificate.

Key terms: ECTN, ASHI (Advanced Shipment Information), PAAR, ACD (Advance Cargo Declaration). Contact GetCTN for Nigeria ICTN processing.
